Who am I?

I've worked as a graphic designer and magazine editor for nearly 20 years. 
Even when I was a small boy, I was obsessed with typography and design. I remember quite clearly designing badges and hand written/drawn magazines for my friends. That passion eventually drove me to a career in graphic design, copywriting and magazine editing. Between 2000 and 2014, I edited and designed 121 issues of outnorthwest magazine - the North West of England's only LGBT magazine. 
Before launching Gr! Design, I had a long and successful career at The Lesbian & Gay Foundation (now called LGBT Foundation). It's a fantastic organisation which offers help and support to LGBT people. My principal responsibility during my 16 years there was design, editing, video production and copywriting.
Over the last four years, I've also expanded into short video production and editing. Video is an increasingly important and effective communication tool. And of course, words. I have a passion for writing and can deliver engaging, relevant copy for whatever you need to communicate.
